CAD is an essential function, but it is only the first step in getting a product to its final form. The use of CAM hardware and software greatly enhance a mold shop's ability to produce accurate molds in less time. Direct electronic communication of data from the CAD system to the CAM system eliminates the need for duplication of effort. The TekSoft 3D CAM software automatically determines and verifies the cutter paths that the CNC machine will use to create the part. The final data is transfered electronically to the CNC machine, completing the process of design through production without any replication of effort.
